AlphaSights Ltd, its subsidiaries and affiliates (“AlphaSights”, “we”, “us”, “our”) value and respect the privacy of client organisations and their designated contacts (“Client(s)”), registered users (“Registered Users”) or any other person visiting or exchanging information with our website(s) (“Site(s)”). Clients are subject to a Client Service Agreement incorporating this Privacy and Cookie Policy. As a Registered User, you have also agreed to, and are subject to, the Terms and Conditions, which incorporate this Privacy and Cookie Policy. If you are not a Registered User, by visiting our Site(s) you agree to the collection and use of your data under the terms of this Privacy and Cookie Policy. This Privacy and Cookie Policy explains how we collect, store, use, share and protect personal information provided by Clients, Registered Users or any visitor to our Site(s). Any breach of this Privacy and Cookie Policy by a Client or a Registered User may result in termination of usage rights.

This Privacy and Cookie Policy applies to data about Clients and Registered Users businesses and, more specifically, to personal information supplied by individuals about themselves in their capacity as (i) employees or representatives of either Clients or Registered Users, (ii) natural persons who are Registered Users, as well as (iii) visitors to any Site(s). We refer to all such persons as “Individuals.” By registering on a Site or making use of any services available through the Site, each Individual gives their consent to the processing of personal information concerning the Individual as outlined below. By using our Site(s) in any capacity, you agree to the Privacy and Cookie Policy in force at that time.


AlphaSights collects information voluntarily provided by Individuals during the User Registration process or Client acceptance procedure. Such information will be complemented by additional information generated through interaction with the Site(s), through correspondence, in connection with potential or actual participation in any consultation, survey, poll or assignment (“Project(s)”) or any other interaction with AlphaSights, Clients or Registered Users. This will include personal information such as name, contact details (including email address, postal address and telephone numbers), skills, expertise, professional biography including academic and employment history, Project participation or other contributions and, for Registered Users, any compensation parameters including payment details. AlphaSights may also obtain certain information from third parties including, but not limited to, suggestions on potential prospective advisors provided by existing Clients, Registered Users or other third parties.


AlphaSights may send one or more cookies – text only strings of characters identifying a visitor's browser – to any Individual visiting any Site. You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. AlphaSights records every visit to any Site and logs web request and internet protocol address information.

This Privacy and Cookie Policy collectively refers to the information collected by AlphaSights about you as "your information." This includes that personal information that allows you to be uniquely identified.


AlphaSights uses your information to facilitate and process your participation in Projects and to contact you about past, current and potential future Projects. In addition, we use the information we collect about you to:

  • monitor, improve and develop our business/offering to you;
  • inform you about services offered by AlphaSights;
  • send you direct (e)mail such as offers, requests or notices from AlphaSights or associated third parties with whom we have a contractual relationship regulating the use of your information;
  • provide your information to facilitate payments owing to you;
  • be supplemented with information received from third parties;
  • share with any associated third parties or suppliers that process data on our behalf both in the UK and abroad for the purposes described in this Privacy and Cookie Policy;
  • also AlphaSights may allow transfer of information between Clients and Registered Users or between Registered Users via email or a web-based interface; for example, by allowing a Registered User to refer a friend or colleague as a potential prospective advisor. Any Individual making use of such communication channels or functionalities understands that their personal information is available to the intended recipient party and AlphaSights.


Your information may be held by AlphaSights inside and outside the United Kingdom. Your information may also be transferred to and from locations inside and outside the United Kingdom by our staff and third parties working for us.

Apart from the disclosures in connection with the uses outlined in the section Use of Your Information above, AlphaSights may disclose your information in response to any legal or discovery process required by law or any authority, to protect our rights or for the prevention or detection of a crime. Upon a partial or complete sale of AlphaSights or upon us entering into a joint venture with a third party, we may disclose your information to such new business partners or owners who may then use your information in connection with their respective products and services. We may also disclose your information as part of aggregated AlphaSights data which is not individually identifiable.

The following provisions with regards to disclosure of information apply to Registered Users only:

  • AlphaSights may disclose your information to Clients and Clients may, if required to do so by law or their compliance policies, disclose to third parties information regarding any Projects in which they and you participated (e.g. your name and your remuneration);
  • AlphaSights may disclose your information to third parties including but not limited to current and former employers and companies that you have provided services to or contracted with, for the purpose of confirming any consents or approvals that you may need to be a Registered User or to participate in any Project(s);
  • AlphaSights may seek to verify your employment history and may seek to verify the duration and accurate invoicing and description of Projects you participate in;
  • also AlphaSights may share your information with non-client third parties for the purpose of promoting our business by displaying your information on our Site(s) and any other marketing materials, subject to your right to opt-out, as provided in the Terms and Conditions.


Individuals are entitled to request from AlphaSights their personal information being stored and processed. Individuals may request correction, deletion or blocking of any personal information which is incomplete, incorrect or has not been processed in compliance with this Privacy and Cookie Policy or the applicable laws or object to direct contact by sending an email to To the extent possible and reasonable, third parties that were provided with such information will be informed about any such request relating to correction, deletion or blocking. Please note that under applicable legislation AlphaSights is entitled to make provision of an Individual's personal information subject to proof of identity and a charge for complying with such requests.

As a Registered User you are required to regularly update your biographical and employment information, which you warrant to be true and up to date as per the Terms and Conditions. You may review the information you have provided and update such information at any time by logging on to your dashboard on the Site(s).

Any Individual wishing to unsubscribe altogether from our services should contact Unless agreed otherwise, Individuals who have unsubscribed shall cease to be a Registered User or Client of AlphaSights and may no longer use the Site(s) or any of the services provided by us. To the extent possible and reasonable, we will cease contacting Individuals who have unsubscribed, but will retain their information for a reasonable period or as long as required by applicable legislation. You should also note that we may require retention of certain information to prevent fraud or for any legitimate purposes subject to any and all such retained information continuing to be subject to this Privacy and Cookie Policy you have previously agreed to.


We take the security of your personal information seriously and therefore have measures in place to minimise abuse, unauthorised access, loss and unlawful processing. However, we cannot guarantee the security of our servers, transmissions between your computer and our servers, or information provided to us or any third party via our Site(s).
