Secure a summer internship before your peers

The AlphaSights Emerging Leaders Sophomore Summit is our flagship early-talent program: an invitation to high-performing sophomores from across the country to experience AlphaSights up close, build a network of peers and professionals, and earn a fast-track to our paid summer internship if you complete the Summit's accelerated interview process successfully.

What Is the Emerging Leaders Sophomore Summit?

The Summit (also called AlphaSights Emerging Leaders Program) is a selective conference for sophomores designed to introduce you to our firm, culture, and people. Selected students take part in interactive learning sessions, hear directly from Associates, Managers, and VPs about their career paths, and get a realistic picture of what working on the commercial frontline looks like — all before junior-year recruiting begins.

Who can apply to the Emerging Leaders Sophomore Summit

Who Can Apply?

The Summit is open to students two years from graduation — current sophomores (and students on equivalent timelines).

We hire from every discipline, you don't need a business or finance major. What matters is ambition, communication skills, and an interest in a fast-paced commercial role. If you're still figuring out what you want to do - that's part of the point of a sophomore program.

What happens at the Summit

Expect a full program rather than a passive presentation:

Accelerate your career before it's begun

Summit participants who perform well are invited into an expedited interview process for our Summer Associate internship - a paid, 10-week program in which interns do the same work as first-year Associates, with the same training, on live client projects. Recent US summer internships have paid over $15,000 for the summer.

Many interns receive return offers, which means the Summit can effectively map your path from sophomore year to a full-time graduate role.

Why It’s Worth Applying

Be honest with yourself about the sophomore-year problem: most structured programs at banks and consultancies are hyper-competitive, and most internships aren’t open to you yet.
Sophomore summits exist to solve that — and ours comes with unusually direct stakes:

What you get Why it matters
Selective program on your resume Signals initiative and pre-professional credibility for every future application
Accelerated interview for a paid internship Skip the standard pool; interview a year ahead of junior recruiting
Real exposure to a commercial role Test whether client-facing work suits you before committing a summer
A national peer network The other attendees are exactly the ambitious people worth knowing

And because our internship mirrors the Associate role rather than shadowing it, the summer that follows is real work with real clients — the fastest way to find out what you’re capable of.
