Client Service Associate Careers at AlphaSights
What is a Client Service Associate?
Client Service Associates are the link between our clients and the expert knowledge they need to make better decisions. They manage multiple projects for investors, strategists, and dealmakers at top-tier organisations — identifying and recruiting the experts who are uniquely relevant for clients’ research needs, and scheduling interactions so collaboration runs seamlessly.
It is a demanding role with a high level of early ownership, providing commercial exposure that most entry-level roles take years to offer.
What does a Client Service Associate do day-to-day?
The Client Service Associate role is fast-moving and varied. Most Associates at AlphaSights spend their day:
Recruiting experts
Sourcing experts who are precise matches for your clients' projects, often against the clock.
Understanding context
Building knowledge on each project, its market, and the legal and regulatory environment your clients and experts operate in.
Taking ownership
Running every aspect of your projects, from initiating client-expert communications to meticulously scheduling calls.
A day in the life
Intrigued by the prospect of owning results from day one and building an international business career, Victoria Leal joined AlphaSights as a Client Service Associate after graduating from university.
Now a Vice President on the Client Service team, she reflects on her experiences building a track record of achievement and driving client, career, and company success at AlphaSights.
Who you'll work with
Our clients are decision-makers at the world's leading investment and corporate organisations — private equity and venture capital firms, hedge funds, investment banks, strategy consultancies and corporations.
As an Associate, you work directly with these clients and the experts shaping their decisions, giving you first-hand exposure to how complex, high-stakes commercial decisions are made.
Career path: Associate to Vice President
Progression as a Client Service Associate at AlphaSights is built on performance, not tenure. The path is clear and quick for those who excel:
Associate
Own projects end to end and build your commercial foundation.

Vice President

Successful completion of the Associate Program may also qualify you for our MBA scholarship of up to $70,000 towards a top business school — with no requirement to return.

Who thrives in Client Service?
The Client Service Associate role is demanding, and not for everyone. Those who thrive typically enjoy, and have experience being in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
If you've got experience staying composed under pressure, balancing deadlines, or rolling your sleeves up to make things happen - we want to hear from you. This could be through playing sports, leading societies, or more.
On paper, we look for strong academic credentials (an undergraduate degree of 2:1 or above), noteworthy extracurricular achievement, and relevant internship experience. Crucially, we hire from every degree discipline, whether that's humanities, social sciences, languages, STEM or business studies.
