Setup instructions

AlphaSights MCP is only available to clients who have been added to the pilot. Individuals need an active AlphaSights account to access the AlphaSights MCP.

Claude

1. Open the Claude Connectors Directory and search for “AlphaSights.”
2. Select AlphaSights and click Connect.
3. You will be redirected to the AlphaSights login page. Sign in or sign up using your email address and password, or use SSO if it has been enabled for your organisation.
4. Once connected, enable AlphaSights from the tools menu in the chat input. Claude will use it automatically when your question relates to your research library or transcripts

ChatGPT

1. Open the Plugin Directory in ChatGPT and search for “AlphaSights.”
2. Select AlphaSights and click Connect.
3. You will be redirected to the AlphaSights login page. Sign in or sign up using your email address and password, or use SSO if it has been enabled for your organisation.
4. Once connected, you can use AlphaSights in a ChatGPT conversation by mentioning @AlphaSights or selecting it from the tools menu.

Applications

Our MCP works in Claude and ChatGPT web, desktop, mobile and Cowork surfaces. It also works in custom AI applications built by our clients.

Usage instructions

AlphaSights’ MCP allows you to ask questions of the research library and your call transcripts. We return back with summarised answers, quotes, information about the expert and links to the source document in the platform.

What you can do

• Search the research library, e.g. ‘Search AlphaSights for research on Tesla’
• Ask diligence questions, e.g. ‘Look at AlphaSights research to find estimates for the size of the automotive market’
• Retrieve quotes, e.g. ‘Find customer quotations about Tesla from AlphaSights’ research’
