Why did you join AlphaSights?
After spending almost five years in my previous job, I was looking for a new challenge. At that time, I had applied for a few jobs, but AlphaSights really stood out to me because of the career development opportunities and the remarkable team I met with during my interview process.

Tell me about your position at AlphaSights.

As a software engineer aligned to the client protection team, I work closely with our product managers, other engineers, and business stakeholders to establish and outline software requirements that support both our internal and external audiences.

What is your greatest success so far?
I’m proud to have contributed to the development of our applications which we’ve built and successfully deployed across the business; one of which handles more than 100,000 requests per day and works incredibly well.

What makes AlphaSights unique?
The diverse pool of employees from different backgrounds and cultures sets the company apart from others. It’s also a great working environment where individual needs are always considered and respected.

What are you passionate about?

Creative problem solving through technology. It is very satisfying to see the fruits of my labour and working with others to achieve a common goal.

What is something interesting that you recently learned?

I recently used one of our sandbox days (a backlog-free day we have every fortnight) to build a console application to analyze input and calculate metrics based on Slack patterns (our internal communication tool). I learned the technical aspects of Slack through its API and collected data to help improve our internal application support.
