Why did you join AlphaSights?

I joined AlphaSights straight out of university. I’d just moved back to Germany and was looking for a good place to gain hands-on experience quickly and launch my career. AlphaSights stood out from other companies because of the responsibility I’d get very quickly, while also supported by a group of individuals with similar values.

Tell me about your position at AlphaSights.
I spent two years as a Client Service Associate, learning the ropes and getting to know our clients and processes. I then moved into my current position as Manager. I’m currently responsible for a couple different accounts in Germany and an ever-growing team of inspiring individuals. Both the company and the Hamburg office have rapidly progressed in the three years I’ve been here — for instance, the Hamburg office has quadrupled in headcount since I joined!

What is your greatest success so far?
I’m most proud of the way I’ve adapted to many changing circumstances within the workplace. Adaptability is not only one of our core values as a firm, but also a trait I find extremely important when embarking on one’s professional journey. Over the past 3 years, I’ve adapted to unforeseen changes like revising a new strategy for one of my accounts, onboarding a number of employees, and, most recently, managing a team remotely. Throughout, I’ve kept an open mind, leveraged resources, and made it work.

What makes AlphaSights unique?

I’m encouraged to find my own professional voice and walk my own path, while provided the structure, support, and training I need to succeed. Nothing is more important for someone like me who’s standing at the beginning of her professional life and still has a lot to learn.

What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about the connection of people from different backgrounds and viewpoints. This applies to my personal life where I love travelling and meeting new people and to my professional life where I speak to people from all over the world, each with a different take on a topic.
